The (almost) annual icon request post

I just realised how much I miss making icons, so to get some inspiration, I decided to put up an icon request post again, since it's been almost two years since the last one.

As before, I can do either personalised icons just for you (from a certain picture, with your LJ name, etc), or I can make a batch of icons from some specific subject.

Anything goes - any subject, any fandom, a tv-show, a movie, a character, a pairing, an episode... even things you know I'm not a fan of ;)

Only caveat is that if it's a subject I haven't iconned before, I'd appreciate a link to a source for good screencaps/images so that I won't have to go googling about. Also, if you're requesting one of my main fandoms (read: B5, X-Files, Buffyverse, and The Mentalist) I'd prefer more specific requests such as an episode, a scene, a character/pairing that rarely gets iconned...

And yes, this post is open to anyone who happens across it - you don't have to have ruugericon (or me) friended :)

I would like an angry Na'Toth icon, maybe from Deathwalker or Parliament of Dreams? She's been on my mind lately. Very Serious Na'Toth might be good too.

Also (don't laugh) Lyta and Marcus. I've been trying to think of times they are on screen together--wasn't there a scene on a White Star? I don't know. Probably not.

I'm pretty sure that Lyta and Marcus were on the same Whitestar at some point in "Into the Fire", I think? Now, to see if they were ever actually in the same screen together... ;)

Sorry it took so long to get back to you; I've been so-o-o busy lately. I have only the screencap libraries you mentioned. How do people do those? Capture each frame? That's a lot of work!

Sure. I'll get on it as soon as I finish renovating and manage to dig my desktop from under the piles of books :)

ghanimasun was kind enough to do some caps for me from the scene I was thinking, so you'll be getting a Lyta & Marcus icon in the near future :) And yeah, you can take caps frame by frame if you just want some specific moment, but most people who cap whole episodes use sofware that automatically takes caps every X frames and then pick and choose the best ones from the caps that the software makes.

Oooo! One of my favorite icon makers taking requests?!! So tempting! Of course, I never know exactly what I want until somebody makes it and I feel that special something. That said, I'm always on the lookout for rare BtVS characters: Lydia the Watcher, Nikki Wood, Spike's date for the wedding that wasn't, Fyarl Giles, Superstar!Jonathan, or Holden Webster. Any of those with Spike is also intriguing, as are Cordy/Spike, Anya/Spike, Harmony/Spike, Fred/Spike. I haven't found the perfect Dawn icon yet, but I'm not sure what it would look like. :-( I'd also love to see a Nikki/Robin or Robin/Faith icon. Gee, for someone who doesn't know what she wants, I seem to want a lot!

Obviously, no obiigation, but if any of the above sparks with you, well, yay!

And one of just the Doctor (as in his face & shoulders, but nothing else) from this cap, with the text: 'My beautiful idiot'.

Oh! And one of this cap. No text, but if it could be of all of him (hands included) that would be awesome.

I almost broke down and made this one for myself, but I'm glad I didn't. Because it involves text which I am terrible at and you are sort of awesome at.
Basically I'd like an icon with this cap or cap this and the text "I really, really like talking about Farscape" (it's a line from Community (x)... which I don't think you watch).

Also I definitely have more, but I wanted to put that request in first. And to warn you that I'd have more :)

Most of my other requests are from shows you don't watch, so I will probably have to pick out caps which I haven't had time for yet. But they're coming!

Also I am mostly just wanting to request icons from shows I don't think you watch (Parks and Recreation, Miranda) but I don't know if that is uninteresting/uninspiring for you to make icons of? I'm gathering up some caps though for them in case you are sure you want to icon fandoms you aren't in!

(Part of me also wants to ask you to put text on like everything, because you are so great at it, and I love text icons. But part of the problem is, I never know what text to put on icons in the first place!_)

I've made icons of fandoms I've never even heard of so just give me the caps and I'll see what I can do :)

(the only possible problem is that if I don't know the show, you may need to tell me what mood you want the icon to be so that I don't put pink frilly textures to an angsty cap or something :D)
