First, I've been meaning to thank everybody who so kindly leaves feedback to my icon posts - especially danaid_luv, shapinglight, elisi, _happyme_, molly_may, jazzymegster and sueworld2003 - but I never seem to get around answering because shiny objects and lack of time distract me. So thank you. i appreciate every comment I get.

Second, because my filk practise got cancelled today and I need something else to distract me from annoying work things, I thought I'd do that request post I've been meaning to make a while now.

So... request away.

I can do either personalised icons just for you (from a certain picture, with your LJ name, etc), or I can make a batch of icons from some specific subject.

Anything goes - any subject, any fandom (though preferably nothing spoilery of the most recent Buffy/Angel comics, Heroes, or S2-> of BSG), a tv-show, a character, a pairing, an episode... even things you know I'm not a fan of ;)

Only caveat is that if it's a subject I haven't iconned before, I'd appreciate a link to a source for good screencaps so that I won't have to go googling about. And I can't do animated icons 'cause the software keeps crashing.

edit: Oh, and for fandoms that I've already iconned a lot (read: B5, X-Files and Buffyverse) I'd prefer more specific requests, like a character, pairing or episode.

I would love an X-Files movie icon from one of the production stills that's been released.

Anything Buffy that you have a yen to make would also be gobbled up with great appreciation. Restless, maybe? Or anything from S6 or S7.

Being able to request an icon from you is like winning the lottery.

And of course I can't think of anything, except that I was just thinking about Intervention and what a fun episode it was and how Spike's defiance of Glory sort of sums up his character for me, and I'm sure that episode's been iconed before (probably a lot) but I'm sure you could put a different spin on it.

Also, I had no idea you had an icon LJ. How could I have missed that?

ETA: obviously, I am too stupid to realise I've followed a cut elsewhere.

I'd *love* a shot of Jared from SPN. He's been catching my eye lately, especially off-set captures where he's beaming at the camera. I have five shots, all from stir_of_echoes & four are high-res uns'in a single post from this week (http://stir-of-echoes.livejournal.com/437910.html?nc=64) and the last is one I have on my hd I could e-mail to you?

I only picked out a handful so you could decide which would work best; I'm not *that* greedy! ;) I'm kind of partial to closer croppings where we can really catch the twinkle in folks' eyes, & if you could personalize it for me to either Danaid or danaid_luv (DL?) or whatever you think'd fit best?? (or leave it off all-together if it muddies up the shot)

Would you make me a fic banner? I already have caps etc and a pretty good idea of what I want, but it's going to be tricky and probably a lot of work, so if you're swamped by now just say so! It really isn't something I *need* at all, just love the idea of having a shiny banner.

(I hope the weather has stopped being blizzardy - I remember vividly what that sort of thing is like. ::shivers::)

Are you still taking requests? And if so, do you take them from total strangers? Because while I adore the Sinclair icon I found in one of your other posts, I'd love to have one of Sinclair as Entil'zha and/or as Valen.

Like I said, I'm new to the fandom--I'm almost done with S3--and I'm absolutely fascinated by this twist for his character. :-)

Also, I think I lost count of all the icons I grabbed (Buffy ones too) while browsing through this journal. Is there anyway I could just show you the lot and say, "Here, I snagged these?" *sheepish smile*

Eee, thank you! And he's smiling in the second one! I didn't even think to specify that, but I love it! (Hard enough to find good Sinclair icons, harder to find smiling ones! *g*)

I'm always happy to be directed to good fic. :-) I'll pretty much read anything at this point, although Sinclair/Garibaldi and Sheriden/Delenn/Sinclair is of particular interest since it's been so elusive so far! Also, I recently got bitten by an inexplicable Delenn/Marcus bug--does anyone write that? I'll happily devour canon/conventional pairings too, though: the only reason I haven't read more J/D is there's *so* much out there it's hard to wade through to find the good stuff. *g*

(And so I hear! Can't wait to get to it. :-) )

For Sheridan/Delenn/Sinclair, have you already come across Balance of Power? It's one of the absolute classics of fandom, and a story that was the introduction to slash to a lot of people, myself included ;)

As for J/D, if you're unspoiled, I recommend avoiding fic until you've seen the first half of S4 at least ;) For old school J/D, the best place is JumpNow which hosts the old J/D Storybook. For newer stuff, vjs2259 and John Hightower (archived at JumpNow) are the current queen and king of J/D, though John's epic J/D is one of those love-it or hate-it things. And Jumpnow's forums are pretty much the place to be for J/D fans the old dinosaurs all hang out there.

I don't think I've ever seen any Delenn/Marcus, though Alternate Universe Today might have some. For newer unconventional pairings, there's the rare pairings ficathon masterlist.

As for general recs, if you want Narns and Centauri, there's Enemies and Allies and selenak, hobsonphile and andrastewhite are the people you'll want to check out, and if you want the Minbari, go to eye_of_a_cat and deborah_judge.
